چکیده

Psychrophiles are an exclusive group of microbes that thrive in extremely cold environments, such as polar regions and deep-sea. These cold-loving have developed a range adaptations enable them to function at low temperatures, including the production cold-adapted enzymes. enzymes highly active stable making valuable biocatalysts for various industrial processes. The potential applications psychrophilic vast, food, pharmaceutical, bioremediation industries. Cold-adapted particularly useful low-temperature applications, coldprocessed foods cold-water detergents. They can also be used antibiotics other pharmaceuticals require conditions. Additionally, processes, where lowtemperature conditions often encountered. Metagenomic studies revealed discovering new from uncultivated microorganisms environments. use recombinant DNA technology has enabled large quantities applications. represent novel promising source these industries significantly reduce energy consumption environmental impact. With ongoing research technological advancements, more diverse efficient will likely discovered microorganisms, further expanding array future.

Exploring the Antarctic soil metagenome as a source of novel cold-adapted enzymes and genetic mobile elements.

Metagenomic library PP1 was obtained from Antarctic soil samples. Both functional and genotypic metagenomic screening were used for the isolation of novel cold-adapted enzymes with potential applications, and for the detection of genetic elements associated with gene mobilization, respectively. Fourteen lipase/esterase-, 14 amylase-, 3 protease-, and 11 cellulase-producing clones were detected ...

Halophilic Bacteria as a Source of Novel Hydrolytic Enzymes

Hydrolases constitute a class of enzymes widely distributed in nature from bacteria to higher eukaryotes. The halotolerance of many enzymes derived from halophilic bacteria can be exploited wherever enzymatic transformations are required to function under physical and chemical conditions, such as in the presence of organic solvents and extremes in temperature and salt content. In recent years, ...

Glycerol: a promising and abundant carbon source for industrial microbiology.

Petroleum is the main energy source utilized in the world, but its availability is limited and the search for new renewable energy sources is of major interest. Biofuels, such as ethanol and biodiesel, are among the most promising sources for the substitution of fossil fuels. Biodiesel can replace petroleum diesel, as it is produced from animal fats and vegetable oils, which generate about 10% ...
